Google Voice

So google voice is now officially being offered to more than just Grand Central Customers and let me tell you it rocks.  So I just recently got an internet enabled phone and so I was browsing the internet on my phone and was browsing https://google.com/voice  So I missed a call today and it lets me play all the voicemails in quicktime. (that probably just gave away what phone I have)  It lets me even call back the number that called me.  First you choose what phone you want to call from and they call you you answer and the number is already being called when you pick up.  I have to say, Google has got it together with this service.  SMS is also availiable for it.  Is there anything these guys don’t think of?  I love it.

Google Tasks

Love google and gmail and all the little improvements.  Gmail tasks is still in beta.  Well, it is still included in Labs if thats what that means.  Anyways, I have been waiting for this for years.  I been using gmail for a while and it is great.  I have always been into organization of items to do as well.  Gmail tasks brings about a simple effective way to organize those things.  It shows up in your email and even better it shows up in google calendar now.  Google takes a while to get some things done but they are done pretty well.  I am excited to use gmail tasks even on the mobile platform as well.   Great fun to be more productive.

Google Contacts Merge

So I have been looking for the ultimate contacts management system for a while now.  Well the problem I always keep running into is being able to merge contacts.  Well friends, google has done it again.  You probably have all found this already but here it is.  Since I use google voice, this comes in real handy for being able to use one central place for all my contacts.  Google is it.  Exchange is great when you have access to it, but I wont be working for one company all my life, so I think google will be my life long repository for my contacts.  I think it would also be a little overkill to host my own exchange server.  Although, I would like the experience like these guys.
